Chicago Restaurant Review: Honeybear Cafe
Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting Honeybear Café in Rogers Park. The food was some of the best breakfast items I’ve ever had. So, naturally, I had to share with all of you! Big thank you to the owner and social media team at Honeybear Café for having me. It did not disappoint!
My husband and I had reservations for a Saturday at 8:30 am. Despite the café being quite busy, we found a close parking spot and entered without trouble. The building has a gorgeous mural painted on the side - perfect for selfies or family pictures when visiting!
As we made our way inside, the décor featured pops of color, bohemian touches, and a dash of eclectic flair. The atmosphere was inviting - staff matched the vibe. I cannot say enough good things about the staff members here. It was early (and busy) when we arrived, but I appreciated how genuine they all were!
The menu at Honeybear is extensive and features something for all flavor palettes. I chose the Strawberry Field French Toast! It was decadent and oozing with strawberry sauce, white chocolate filling, and graham cracker dust. My husband chose the French Quarter Benny. I'm not lying when I say it was the best hollandaise sauce I've ever had. Each dish was equally delectable. We loved switching back and forth between bites to get a little sweet and savory.
Serving portions here are HUGE and, the price points were extra reasonable. We couldn’t believe how large our food was when it came out. No complaints here about that!
Another thing to note, this café is BYOB! Kids also eat FREE with the purchase of an adult entrée. As a parent myself, I know how difficult it can be to go out to eat with your family and have to purchase a separate meal for your kiddo; this isn’t something to fear while at Honeybear!
I don’t have any bad things to say about my experience at HB. It was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a while. Kudos to the owner and staff members! Thank you for a delicious meal!
